Math: When counting beans, remind Nicole that God knows every number — He even knows how many hairs are on her head! (Matthew 10:30). Ask her: “Isn’t it amazing that God counts everything and loves us that much?”
ELA: After reading about dolphins, say: “God made dolphins and gave them a special blowhole to breathe — He designed every detail!” Read Genesis 1:21 together. Ask Nicole: “What’s your favorite animal God made?”
Science: When sorting living and non-living things, point out: “Only God can make living things! A factory can make a pencil but only God can make a flower or a puppy.” Psalm 139:14 — “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Addition means putting two groups together to find out how many there are in all! Use your fingers, beans, or a number line to help you count.
- 5 + 4 = Count 5 fingers, then count 4 more = 9 ✅
- 7 + 8 = Start at 7, count up 8 more = 15 ✅
- 6 + 7 = Count 6, then 7 more = 13 ✅
- 9 + 5 = Start at 9, count up 5 more = 14 ✅
